Meet Susan
Professional Background
My developmental editing clients have published with university presses such as Rutgers, Duke, and University of California, and in journals such as Medical Anthropology Quarterly, Ethnic and Racial Studies, and American Sociological Review. I bring to this collaborative work my interdisciplinary background in contemporary French Studies and experience in grant writing. Readability is paramount for me.
My consulting work in honorifics strategy comes out of three years as Brown University's first External Honorifics Manager. During those years at Brown I oversaw a 300% increase in nominations, nine of which were successful. On a national level, I spearheaded an affinity group for honorifics professionals within NORDP (National Organizational of Research Development Professionals).
